Featured in ‘Our Auckland Magazine ‘, the biggest Brazilian Festival in New Zealand is almost here. This year the event is expecting around 8000 visitors during the day. This is a community event and belongs to Auckland Council Official Summer Event. This year there will be musicians from Australia and other parts of New Zealand as well as dance workshops such as Zumba, Samba, Forro, Capoeira and different styles of Brazilian music and dance.
More than 20 stalls will be displaying their products and services, as well as selling delicious foods. There is also a kid zone, an amusement park and other free activities for children. To close the Festival we will count with the debut of New Zealand’s first ever Samba School “Unidos de Aotearoa”. This Festival is going to be unique, exotic and a lot of fun for everyone!
” We are proud to build bridges between our cultures and countries, opening doors to businesses, organizations and individuals to showcase their products, services and all other aspects of our culture. The mission of our Festival is bring together our communities and share with New Zealand our passion, joy and warmth that reflects in our dance, music, food and folklore.”
The Brazilian Day Festival is a not for profit community group which relies on the help of funders, partners, sponsors, collaborations, supporters and volunteers within the community to make this event possible. Both Auckland Council and Brazilian Embassy representatives will be present at the opening and closing ceremony. This is a FREE family event at the park. All zones are Alcohol and smoke free.
